Blog Post #6 Twitter on Politician & Celebrity

For this Blog post, I will focus on my Dallas district representative upon my zip code, her name is Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson. For the celebrity, I choose rapper and comedian Chingo Bling. Going through Johnson’s twitter account, she crafts her speech as a kind, caring, loving, informative. When I was looking her up on the webpage contactingthecongress.org, it mentions that she was a democrat, even if I hadn’t read the description beforehand, she does reflect and give out a sense of democrat in her twitter. In most of the pictures/videos, she is smiling and gives me a sense of sincereness compare to other politicians. Other than that, from her tweets, she seems like a nice, caring person.

Moving on to my celebrity and a little of his background, I choose Chingo Bling, a rapper from Huston, Texas who did rap in a comedic/satire way in the early 2000s. He currently put the rap game aside (still does a few features) and started focusing more on his live skit comedian shows in the past years. Furthermore, Comparing Chingo Bling’s and Representative Johnson’s twitter, I found that both seem to give off a sense of humbleness and carrying for others. Chingo Bling’s Twitter has a good %20 involvement in politics. Some of his political posts are about him shaking his head about political matters, other political tweets are shown in a comedic way. Rep. Johnson keeps her posts informative and does not go after other politicians or subject matters like other politicians often do. Chingo Bling is a bit more flexible when it comes to his post regarding politics. However, he does not seem to pass certain comedies lines when it comes to politicsAs final touch upon Rep. Johnson, twitter crafts her identity as informational and caring, although she is a politician and posts politician content, to me it did not give me a strong politician vibe, rather she gave me a more community-friendly vibe, with a bit of politician in her. Overall, I believe both of the person's identity on twitter is similar to the person they are in real life as Chingo Bling's Twitter is more comedy, fun-based account,  Rep. Johnson, is a more informative, calm base account, both come up as very humble people.
