Ted Cruz v. Playboi Carti

 The politician and celebrity I decided to compare is Ted Cruz to Playboi Carti (a rapper). 

 

Cruz’s Twitter is mainly him retweeting news articles and videos about him, but when he does actually tweet about it is either him promoting a book or something, he is a part of or his critiques on current politics. He does have a couple of tweets where he is wittily replying to politicians and commentators that do not share his viewpoint. Overall the way Ted Cruz presents himself online is that he wants to sell you his book and wants you to make sure you know what his political beliefs are; he rarely strays away from politics, but when he does it’s typically family friendly humor.

 

Now let’s take a look at Playboi Carti’s Twitter.

 

In the year 2020 Playboi Carti has tweeted a total of 9 times, and out of the last 9 tweets he has only mentioned his music a total of 3 times. He does not stay active on Twitter or any of his social media accounts, and he rarely post any new music. This lack of social media presence and presence in the music industries allows for his music and tweets to gain a lot of attention without needing to shove it down people’s throats. But his lack of presence also makes fans mad as they do not get a lot of music or when he will be releasing. His tweets mainly consist of unintelligible “words” almost like hieroglyphics.
