A pre-web technology I used to own would be a portable movie player. Growing up on trips my family and I used a portable movie player to watch movies on trips. I remember before going on a road trip we had to rent movies that we wanted for the trip. It was very heavy to travel with and would take up space in the car. It would also take a long time to charge and would run out of battery quickly. To charge it in the car it had to be connected to a car charger and it had to be off while charging. Now we have the apps Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime Video to watch movies and shows. With these apps we can have a large variety of movies and shows, and it is all one device.
