Everyone has a different definition to social media, but the way i define social media is with one word, communication. Social media is a way of communication because people are able to communicate with people from all over there world, wherever and whenever anyone would like. An example of apps that are used daily for communication are Instagram, Snap chat, Facebook, and etc. Although i define social media with one word, I do agree there is branches below communication like entertainment. Social media never fails to keep me entertained with it's apps like Tik Tok and YouTube. With new content that comes out everyday it keeps millions of people entertained. One app that I think is not traditionally considered social media but I do, is Pinterest. Not only does Pinterest keep me busy, but people are also able to pin anything they like, and are able to share anything they would like. When it comes to the exclusion of social media, I just believe it comes down to what is popular at the moment, and what is not.
