The social media site that I searched for was Twitter. It has no parent company, is publicly owned, and its current CEO is Jack Dorsey. It actively censors misinformation and some violent and/or explicit posts. I think that it should do more censoring of hate speech. While your tweets can be reported by anyone, its algorithm should do better catching and suspending the tweets and accounts.
