This has been a very good class experience. I feel like we had a very diverse group of individuals with different online experiences, and this class gave us the opportunity to share and discuss those different experiences.
I didn't really know what to expect from the course being that it is an intro to social media and I've been using social media for more than a decade. What I found was that the class provided an opportunity to bridge the gap between someone like myself that experienced social media in its infancy, and my classmates that were fairly new to social media and now have so many different social media options. It didn't take long for me to realize that Facebook is now for old people, lol.
I do feel that this class has helped me take several steps forward in my approach to social media and just interacting online in general. I've learned to embrace likes and I've been giving out more likes. One goal that I set was to start my IG page before the end of the semester, so I'll be setting up my IG page today. I've spent several weeks thinking of a good username so hopefully its not already taken.
