Self Analysis

 Since starting this class my knowledge and thoughts on social media have changed and evolved dramatically. The concept of social media was an almost abstract idea before I started this semester. I was aware of its power but I didn't really know how that power was used to shift people's perceptions and expectations. Being aware of how powerful a platform a single individual can make with social media is extremely important if I am to responsibly engage with content. I feel that now I am better equipped to analyze social media trends and dissect why certain trends start. I've become better at research data that gives me insight into social media usage and how many aspects of life today incorporate it into daily life. At this point I believe this class has shaped me to be a better social media user and an advocate for responsible social usage.
