Social Media Platform

         The social media empire I chose is Facebook. This company which is owned by Mark Zuckerberg who is the CEO and has 29.3% of it shares. Facebook Inc, is the parent company of the facebook website, and a few other popular one. In 2012 Facebook bought Instagram from 1 billion dollars. Some other companies that Facebook Inc own is WhatsApp, Oculus VR, Onavo, and Beluga. These companies range from virtual reality, to messaging services. Facebook and Instagram filter what you post. There are certain things you can not sell on their platform or you will be thrown in their platform jail, figuratively speaking. While on the other hand instagram in particular does not censor obscene images and videos. I personally do not want to see all that, but at the same time i know that how some people make their money. So I choose not to knock it.
