One pre-web technology that was extremely popular were DVD players. DVD players were designed to watch videos, movies, and listen to music just by inserting the CD. Although DVD players are not popular anymore, many replacement options were created. For example, Netflix, Hulu, and Prime Video allows you to watch movies pretty much anywhere as long as you have an account. Spotify, YouTube, Pandora, and Apple Music allows you to listen to music and watch videos for free online and also have other features if you pay a certain amount per month. You no longer need CDs to watch videos, movies, and to listen to music. Now, it is much easier to access and can stream from anywhere as long as you have internet.
