Online Communities

On Instagram, I follow an account that posts about influencers and whatever they're up to and it also serves as an Ariana Grande fan page. There was an invite to a Discord server and I joined. There, we would talk about whatever was going on in the social media world along with memes (it is kind of difficult to explain what we really did on there). We would chat for hours and even hit up the voice chat where we would send bots to play music and then we would sing along to the songs. I found myself talking to the members quite a bit and even following some of them on social media. I would consider it to be a community, where everyone really did know each other. Unfortunately, there was quite a bit of drama between members so that server is not in use anymore but I do still keep in contact with some of the members. I really did enjoy the time that I was able to be on that server and I loved the environment that we were able to create.
